Studio Lisii is the practice of Melbourne-based artist Liesel De Pellegrin.

This body of work centres on a recurring muse — a dog.

Each figure begins from the same place, but never arrives the same way twice.
Shifted through colour, scale, and form, it takes on a different presence each time — sometimes quiet, sometimes playful, sometimes uncertain.

Something remains recognisable.
Everything else shifts.

The practice is grounded in repetition, but not uniformity.
Each piece becomes a variation within an ongoing exploration — intuitive, tactile, and open-ended.

Working primarily with oil pastels and paint, Liesel’s process favours texture, imperfection, and instinct.
The work leans away from precision, instead guided by shape, rhythm, and material.
